Another Ship With Ukrainian Grain Arrives In Africa


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Another ship carrying grain from Ukraine has arrived in Africa within the framework of the“grain initiative”.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the SEAEAGLE bulk carrier with 65,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat arrived in one of the ports of Sudan. It left the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk on August 26.

Since the“grain initiative” was launched, 16 ships have left the ports of Ukraine for African countries and almost 500,000 tonnes of food staffs have been delivered.

In particular, two vessels with 60,000 tonnes of grain were chartered by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for countries suffering from a food crisis. In addition, thanks to UN partners, another 190,000 tonnes of grain have already been purchased for further export to the African countries.
