Kashmir and Bahrain industries join forces for MSME development
Srinagar, Sept 2 (KNN) The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & industry (KCCI) Srinagar signed a MoU with Bahrain Small & Medium Enterprises Society (BSMES) on Thursday in Manama, Bahrain.
Focusing on MSME development the pact aims to create and deliver suitable services and programmes for the member clients of the Bahrain SME Society and KCCI.
In presence of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Industries & Commerce, Vivek Bharadwaj, President KCCI Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad and President BSMES, Dr Abdul hassan Al Dairi signed and exchanged the agreement.
Initially Kashmir can offer medical packages to the citizens of Bahrain as Kashmir has one of the best doctors in the country, suggested the ACS.
He hoped that the BSMES delegation can act as ambassadors of India in general and Kashmir in particular so that more and more people would visit J&K and added that the MoU signing is a step in that process.
Speaking on the occasion, Dairi said that his organization is desiring to share experiences in matters of policies, expertise and information for improving the MSME competitiveness of India and Bahrain in global markets.
Dairi hoped that it would severe the mutual interest of the both the parties and contribute towards development of MSMEs of both countries.
General Secretary KCCI, Farooq Amin; vice-chairman of Houseboat Owners Association Kashmir, Manzoor Pakhtoon and other office bearers of BSMES were also present on the occasion. (KNN Bureau)
