Real Madrid manager responds angrily to Ronaldo's query

(MENAFN) Real Madrid will not be participating in the Cristiano Ronaldo lottery after club president Florentino Perez vehemently refuted rumors that the Portuguese star could once again become a "Galactico."

Ronaldo played for Real Madrid for nine seasons before making the then-world record transfer to the Spanish powerhouses. However, Perez has dispelled rumors that history might repeat itself by claiming that the club's all-time leading scorer is too old to be considered a possibility for Carlo Ancelotti's squad.

Ronaldo has been pushing for a transfer away from Manchester United for more than a month after informing the team of his desire to leave in order to play in the Champions League. Ronaldo will turn 38 during the upcoming season.

But so far, the multiple Ballon d'Or winner hasn't been able to leave Old Trafford because so many of Europe's top teams have ruled out a transfer for the seasoned goalscorer.

In the past, Ronaldo's potential destinations have included Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid. However, no club has been as dismissive of the Portuguese legend as the one where he won four Champions League titles.
