Qatar Forum For Authors Discusses Importance Of Translations

Doha: Qatar Forum for Authors discussed the importance of translating from and into Arabic language, within the fifth session of 'Your Linguistics' initiative. It was presented by the Qatari writer and journalist Dr. Abdullah Faraj Al Marzouqi and moderated by the linguistic expert Dr. Ahmed Al Janabi. 

During the session, Dr. Al Marzouqi affirmed the importance of translation that substantially serves many languages including Arabic- as well as humanity, since there are numerous common utterances between various languages. 

Among the most significant books published through history is Ethics and Walking in the Healing of Souls by Al Andalusi, which has been translated into many versions that increased the value of the book, he added. He also noted that Arabic language has great merits for multiple cultures and countries that are apparently rich with Arabic scriptures with various calligraphies.

Dr. Al Janabi underscored the significance of advancing Arabic language and preserving Arabic and Islamic identity, hailing the strenuous efforts dedicated by the institutions of Qatar in this regard.
