BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. The official two-day visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to Azerbaijan took place on April 19-20, 2022, Trend reports.

This was Japarov's first visit to the country since his appointment as the president in January 2021.

As it became known, during the visit, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held bilateral meetings, both one-on-one and in an expanded format.

The countries also held the signing ceremony of the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz documents. Ten important strategic documents were concluded for further development of relations between the two countries.

While commenting on the historic visit, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Elvira Surabaldieva noted the importance of meetings for further strengthening bilateral ties.

Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are united by the fact that they have a similar language, traditions, cultural and historical roots. Meetings of such a high level are important for closer cooperation between these fraternal countries, said Surabaldieva.

“I am sure that fruitful development prospects are awaiting us, since our countries have a huge potential for interaction,” the deputy said.
