São Paulo – The Brazil Pavilion received 2.12 million visitors during the six months of Expo 2020 Dubai . The mega event ended on March 31. The Brazilian space was organized and designed by the Brazilian Trade and investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and featured different exhibitions.

According to The National newspaper website, the first world exhibition in an Arab country received over 23 million visitors between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022.

On the last day of the event, the Brazilian space received 42,424 people. The pavilion was among the five most visited. Brazil had 17 partners, including government agencies and states, and received authorities and investors.

The head of Operations at the ApexBrasil Office in Dubai, Karen Jones, pointed out the event's most remarkable legacy is the rapprochement between the two countries.“The Expo went far beyond the exhibition park; there were missions from multiple sectors and several places that could learn and learn more about the country. This will develop into relationships, business, and future partnerships,” said Jones in a statement.

The closing ceremony of the Brazil Pavilion brought together authorities from Itaipu Binacional, the last exhibitor in the space, and names such as the Brazilian ambassador to the UAE, Fernando Igreja.“We are building a new stage in this relationship, showing the UAE and the entire region our strength, our power, our capacity, for renewal, our joy, for getting involved. It is not an end; it is a continuation of our presence in this region,” said the diplomat.

The commissioner-general of Brazil for Expo 2020 Dubai, Elias Martins Filho, recalled the country's active participation in world exhibitions, having participated since the first one, in London, in 1851. The Corporate Management director at ApexBrasil, Roberto Escoto, recalled the event is a platform for boosting the country's image.

Expo 2025

The next Expo is scheduled for 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Brazil has already confirmed its presence at the mega event. ApexBrasil will also organize the Brazilian participation in the Japanese exhibition.
