KABUL (Pajhwok): Bangladesh opted to bat first in the third and final match of the ODI series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.

At the end of the 23rd over, the hosts were 111 for the loss of two wickets. Tamim Iqbal was dismissed by Fazal Haq Farooqi before Shakib Al Hasan (30) fell to Azmatullah Omarzai.

Litton Das (60) and Mushfiqur Rahman (4) are at the crease.

In the last ODI, the Tigers are going flat out to strengthen their position on top of the ICC ODI Super League by whitewashing Afghanistan.

The hosts have already clinched the series by winning the first two matches. They are determined to romp home in today's outing as well and win 10 more points.

The Tigers seem to be on course to take the momentum into the two-match T20I series, scheduled to be played in Dhaka on March 3 and 5.

On the other hand, the tourists are looking to improve batting issues. Given their top-order inconsistency, Afghanistan's middle order will have to up its game.
