Amman, Jan. 24 (Petra) -- The team tasked with reviewing the documented clarifications at the Audit Bureau on Monday concluded the review of all violations that were monitored in 2021.
In a meeting, held at the Prime Ministry, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, Ibrahim Jazi, said the team completed the review of documented clarifications for the past year within the monthly-review approach framework, and took all necessary actions to rectify these violations.
He explained that procedures for rectifying violations were conducted in accordance with the rules, whether by addressing concerned authorities in which violations were monitored and obligating them to amend them within specific periods, or by taking legal actions. He pointed out that there are cases that called for referring some violations to the Jordan Integrity and Anti-corruption commission (JIACC) or to court, if mandating reasons were available.
'The total number of violations that were monitored, rectified and referred to the JIACC or the court will be revealed during the coming period, and after monitoring the overall of that were rectified during the past months,' Jazi added.
He noted that the monthly-review approach of the Audit Bureau clarifications will continue at the same pace, and at January end, the team will begin reviewing violations that it monitored. He stressed that this process has significantly contributed to reducing the number of violations, preventing their accumulation, and strengthening control over public money and public administration.
