Jordan - Interior minister meets with Qatar's prime minister over ties, security cooperation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Farayah on Thursday in Doha met with Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani over means to develop bilateral ties, mainly in the security fields.

Farayah's visit to Qatar is made upon an invitation from Sheikh Khalid to hold consultations over joint issues and to attend the graduation ceremony of the fourth batch of the cadet students at the Police College affiliated with Qatar's Interior Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Both sides highlighted the importance of moving ahead to expand cooperation and coordination, mainly in the security and economic fields.

Farayah reiterated that Jordanian-Qatari relations witness constant development thanks to the support they receive from both countries' leadership. 

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to sustain communication and coordination on all issues and subjects of mutual concern.
