Faced with swelling numbers of people infected with Covid-19 in Panama Oeste, the Mayor of La Chorrera has issued a decree banning dancing and artistic activities and all those that involve crowds

According to this decree, the following hours were established for carrying out night business activities in this district: Monday through Thursday, until 2:00 a.m., and on weekends until 3:00 a.m.

'The National Police is empowered to lead and make available to the justices of the peace, compliance officials in coordination with the Department of Administration of Justice, to persons who fail to comply with the provisions for their due sanction', says the decree published in the Official

According to data from the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the pandemic to date, the province of Panama Oeste has reported 87,824 cases of Covid-19.
