Afghanistan - Snowfall closes Salang highway for cargo trucks

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Salang highway, connection Kabul with northern Afghanistan, was closed for cargo trucks due to heavy snowfall on Sunday morning.
Qazi Obaidullah, the highway maintenance commander, said the 20-30 centimetres of snow struck the area. As a result, the highway was closed for trailers.
Traveling the highway, which is often hit by snowstorms, during the winter is dangerous, causing deadly accidents.
