Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) issued a circular to the principals of public and private secondary schools to calculate the absence of 12th grade students, day and adult education, infected with the COVID-19, and the quarantined students who did not take the end-of-term exam for the first semester of 2021-2022, with a valid excuse, to provide a supplement test for these students in the curriculum of the first semester on Jan. 18, 2022.
The Ministry's Evaluation Affairs Sector explained that this decision comes out of its concern in the interest of the students, and achieves the requirements of the public interest.
The students are required to bring a certificate from the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) proving the date the student was infected with the COVID-19, or placed in quarantine. The schools then send these certificates to the Secondary Certificate Control - the Student Assessment Department - in order to take the necessary measures.
The Evaluation Affairs Sector appealed to students and parents to prepare and be keen to perform the exams on time, understanding the surrounding circumstances to overcome the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
