Bill Gates shares thoughts on 2021 difficulties

(MENAFN) 2021 marks a hard unexpected year for Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
On Tuesday, Dec. 7 Mr Gates, who is considered to be the fourth wealthiest person worldwide having a net worth of USD135 billion, stated: “2021 has been a year of big transitions for me but it has not changed why I love the work I do,” issued by Forbes magazine.

Mr Gates and his ex-wife Melinda French Gates signed the divorce papers on 3 May after they were married for 27 years. They started to see each other in 1987 and got married on 1 January, 1994 in Hawaii.

He mentioned: “Melinda and I continue to run our foundation together and have found a good new working rhythm, but I cannot deny that it has been a year of great personal sadness for me. Adapting to change is never easy, no matter what it is.”

“As it [2021] comes to a close, I wanted to sit down and write about four things that are top of mind heading into 2022: the latest progress toward ending the Covid-19 pandemic, why decreased trust in institutions might be the biggest obstacle standing in our way, what the climate conversation can teach us about making progress and how the rapid digitisation brought on by the pandemic will shape our future,” Mr Gates included in a blog he posted.
