(MENAFN) According to an official statement by Azerbaijan, on Tuesday, an Azerbaijani border patrol aircraft collapsed in a training mission, killing armed forces who were on it.
Based on State Border Service, the helicopter smashed in the Garaeybat training area located in the northeastern Khyzy district.
The statement mentioned that amongst the troop soldiers, there were both dead and injured, but provided no precise numbers. Moreover, the authorities have also sent detectives to the incident site, and Turkey delivered condolences to Azerbaijan regarding the crash.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated, “we wish Allah’s mercy upon the martyrs, and a swift recovery to the wounded.”
