Turkey: New White Russians photo exhibition launches in Gallipoli district


(MENAFN) On Monday, Nov. 22 a photo exhibition showing White Russians, who traveled to Gallipoli province in Turkey following the Bolshevik Revolution in 1920, was launched at the Ataturk Cultural Center in Canakkale district.

The photo exhibition portrays the immigrant history of White Russians in Gallipoli for a whole year.

A large document titled “Turkish-Russian brotherhood:100 years,” got exhibited at the event.

Governor of Gelibolu district Bekir Abaci mentioned, “Our valuable teachers, who have done very valuable work, have brought to light this hospitality that has been forgotten or is on the verge of being forgotten…. Turkish hospitality will continue forever.”
