Russia increases gas supplies to Italy by almost 16 pct in 2021

(MENAFN) Russian state energy giant Gazprom raised natural gas exports to Italy by 15.9 percent in January through October this year, against the corresponding period of 2021.

Last year, Gazprom exported 20.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Italy, noted the firm’s report.

The blue fuel is provided to Italy under three long-term contracts between the Russian main natural gas exporter, Gazprom Export, and Italy’s branch of multinational energy major Eni.

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi newly conducted a working assembly in St. Petersburg, where the parties talked about further collaboration in the gas industry, as well as prospects for low-carbon development of European energy.
