China informs NATO no require for new force bloc in Asia-Pacific

(MENAFN) China announced the Asia-Pacific area "does not need" a new troop bloc, and advised NATO to support its original geographical position and work positively in the area's nonviolent and steady improvement.

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said to NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg “The Asia-Pacific region is China’s place to settle down.”

But, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister stated “some NATO member states have sent ships and planes to activities around China," in line with Chinese Foreign Ministry report.

On Monday, Wang and Stoltenberg organized a video summit, the similar day that the British Royal Navy frigate HMS Richmond sailed through the Taiwan Strait, inviting disapproval from Beijing.
