(MENAFN) On Sunday, Sep. 26 Israeli military stated that two soldiers were severely wounded in gunfight with Palestinian shooters in a West Bank attack in which Israeli forces killed five Palestinians.
A report released by the Israeli military said that five armed Palestinians were confirmed killed in the overnight crackdown to detain suspects affiliated with a Hamas cell.
An officer and a combatant soldier suffered grave injuries in a fighting with a Palestinian militant in the village of Burqin in northern West Bank, the army tweeted.
The goal of the attack was to detain Hamas operatives engaged in a cell that plotted to conduct an assault against Israelis, said the army.
