(MENAFN- The Conversation) I am an experimental psychologist by training, and I completed my doctorate in a psychiatry department, looking at risky decision-making in people with bipolar disorder. Since 2005, my research has focused on the psychology of gambling and gambling addiction, and in 2014 I relocated from the UK to UBC Vancouver to become the inaugural director of the Centre for Gambling Research at UBC.
