Joint ventures amid Saudi, foreign investors increase in 1H of 2021


(MENAFN) During the first six months of 2021, the number of business amid Saudi and foreign investors increased with the Kingdom witnessing a doubling in the total amount of investment licenses issued to Saudis and non-Saudis.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted Saudi Arabia’s Investment Ministry as saying that the number of licenses issued to new investors in the mentioned period of 2021 stood at 1,054, an improvement of 108 percent in comparison to the previous year same time span.

Joint investment licenses amid Saudi and foreign investors reached 45 percent of the total licenses issued in the January-June period of 2021, as the figure amounted at 27 percent in the same period in 2020.

The second three months of 2021 registered an improvement during which the retail sector took place number one in the number of licenses issued with 24 percent followed by the industrial sector with 20 percent.
