Libya, Malta ink deal on medical collaboration

(MENAFN) Libyan Minister Ali Zanati and his Maltese counterpart, Chris Fearne, have inked a deal on medical collaboration between both nations, announced Libya’s Ministry of Health on Saturday, Sep. 11.

The Ministry stated in a declaration that the deal covers training medical and paramedical staff and offering medical care to Libyan patients in Malta’s hospitals.

The two countries will also cooperate in administering Libyan hospitals and several Maltese medical experts will be deployed to key Libyan cities to carry out difficult surgeries.

On Friday, Libya’s Premier Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah paid a visit to Malta and convened with Malta’s Premier Robert Abela. They concurred to deepen joint investment, ease residency and entry visas for the people of both countries, and recommence flights after setting up essential protocols.
