Fresh deals between Rwanda, Tanzania to give push to joint ventures


(MENAFN) On Monday, Aug. 2 Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame stated that collaboration deals inked between Rwanda and Tanzania previously in the day will give fresh momentums to the realization of joint ventures like standard gauge railway.

"Rwanda and Tanzania share more than just a border. Our strong historical ties and common aspiration to deliver prosperity to our people have always been central to our cooperation," Kagame said to a joint press meeting with his visiting Tanzanian counterpart Samia Suluhu Hassan in the capital city Kigali, a little after they saw the inking of four collaboration deals in the fields of information and communication technology, immigration, education and regulation of medical produce.

Kagame stated that the inking of the deals offers fresh momentum to major infrastructure and investment ventures of shared benefit, mainly the standard gauge railway line, milk production and enhanced port logistics.

Hassan stated that there is a lot more the two nations can learn from each other in the spirit of boosting trade relations, guaranteeing prosperity and development of the economies and peoples, further saying that the inking of the deals would facilitate this.
