Fights between Palestinian people, Israeli police break out at Jerusalem holy site


(MENAFN) Early on Monday, May. 10 The Palestinian Red Crescent Israeli police and Palestinian worshipers fought in a flashpoint at a Jerusalem holy site, wounding at least scores of Palestinians.

"Thousands of Palestinians rioted" and threw stones and other objects from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound at police officers, stated Israeli Police in a report.

Video footages on local Israeli media displayed that police shot tear gas and stun grenades at demonstrators.

Israeli police forces hurled stun grenades into the mosque, said Palestinian media in a report.
