Jotun begins work on new production facility in Qatar

Jotun, one of the world's leading paint and coatings manufacturers, reconfirms commitment to Qatar with the announcement of a new production facility to be built in the New Industrial Area in Doha, Qatar.

The factory will be completed by Q4 2021 and can produce up to 20 million litres of paint annually. This new production facility is Phase 1 of a multi-phase investment plan Jotun has for Qatar in the coming five years. The factory will be built to maximize employee training and development, manufacturing capacity and product innovations, underscored by environmentally friendly practices to develop high quality paint solutions for the country.

The temperature-controlled factory boasts high automation levels to ensure less waste generation and higher levels of energy efficiency. The facility will supply a growing network of dealers, infrastructure development, oil & gas projects, etc. with innovative coating solutions.

This investment reflects Jotun's commitment and belief in Qatar National Vision 2030 and will also play a significant part in Qatar's ambition of becoming a self-reliant state. To mark this momentous occasion, more than 1,200 safety kits were distributed to painters at application sites and retail outlets. The safety kit comprises of surgical grade face masks, hand sanitizer and face shields. Jotun is committed to supporting the communities they operate in.
