(MENAFN) On Saturday, Feb. 27 Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit showed backing for Saudi Arabia's refusal of a new U.S. intelligence report on the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi back in 2018.
The AL chief stated in a declaration: "Saudi judicial authorities are the only ones in charge of holding those involved in Khashoggi case accountable."
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud accepted the action in Istanbul, Turkey, "to capture or kill Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi," according to the 4-page report, issued by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
The ODNI is not approved to release international decisions or verdicts, stated Aboul-Gheit.
