The iconic Burj Khalifa lit up to celebrate the launch of Lulu Hypermarket's 200th store on Saturday, February 20 at 8 pm.

Lulu which opened its first store in the UAE in the early 90s opened its 200th store recently in Cairo, Egypt. Visitors at the landmark destination saw the world's tallest building projecting the familiar colours of Lulu's logo with congratulatory messages to commemorate the moment.

With a retail footprint spanning 10 countries including GCC, Egypt, India, Indonesia and Malaysia, the Lulu group has been a shining example of UAE based organisation going global. Company chairman Yusuffali MA said Lulu has been expanding the business despite the pandemic and has launched with more than 15 stores in the last 12 months.

He said, 'Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the visionary rulers of this great country for allowing us to flourish and spread across the world, and to each one of our stakeholders and our loyal shoppers for helping us reach this milestone.

Meanwhile, V Nandakumar, director of marketing and communications of Lulu Group said, 'This indeed is a proud moment for all of us to see our brand Lulu being projected on the iconic Burj Khalifa. This imitative is a true testament of our sustained forward march to scale new heights in innovation and to provide our world-class shopping experience in new markets and to a greater number of people.
