EU foreign trade balance increases USD 264B in 2020

(MENAFN)According to the bloc's statistical office, the EU foreign trade balance witnessed an increase of €217.3 billion (USD264 billion) in last year, compared to 2019.
The number increased €191.5 billion in January-December 2019.
Extra-EU exports of commodities dropped by 9.4 percent to €1.9 trillion, while imports stood at €1.7 trillion (USD1, 541 trillion), decreased 11.6 percent, in the previous year.
It stated that "Intra-EU trade fell to €2.8 trillion in January-December 2020, down 7.5% compared with January-December 2019."
