Kuwait- Belgium reports 1,784 new coronavirus infections


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- Total coronavirus cases in Belgium on Wednesday increased to 696,642 with 1,784 new infections, reported health authorities.
The source added that 65 more deaths occurred due to (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, raising the total to 20,879.
Meanwhile, a temporary ban on non-essential foreign travel comes into effect in Belgium from today until March first.
Travel for urgent reasons such as business trips and crossing the border to go to work or for medical treatment is still allowed.
A new ministerial decree in Belgium, released Tuesday evening, also clarifies as to how many people are allowed into places of worship.
Now regardless of whether those present in a mosque, church, temple or synagogue are there for individual prayer and meditation or to attend a service, their number will be limited to 15. (end)
