Ukraine- Govt allocates UAH 20M in humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected Croatia
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 20 million in humanitarian aid to the Republic of Croatia to help overcome the consequences of the earthquake.
The government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Vasyl Mokan, wrote about this on his facebook page following a government meeting on January 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"By a separate decision at today's extraordinary meeting, the Government allocated UAH 20 million in humanitarian aid from the reserve fund of the state budget for measures to overcome the consequences of the earthquake that struck Croatia on December 29, 2020," Mokan wrote.
As Ukrinform reported, on January 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree "On the provision of humanitarian aid to the Republic of Croatia."
At least six people were killed and more than 20 people were injured after a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck central Croatia on December 29.
