(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met on Monday with HE Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, aspects of joint cooperation, especially in the trade, investment and industrial fields, and ways to enhance and develop them. The two sides also discussed coordination mechanisms to increase the volume of trade exchange and enhance cooperation in priority sectors that would serve the developmental trends of the two countries.
They also discussed the trade policies between the two countries, the implications of the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the economic and trade situation, and the efforts made by the two sides in the context of confronting the economic repercussions of this crisis.
During the meeting, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry reviewed the economic policies adopted by the state and the role through which it contributed to removing restrictions on foreign investment and providing more investment opportunities for companies wishing to invest.
