Lebanon confirms five Covid-19 cases, count at 1,119


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, May 25 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese Ministry of health on Monday reported five more infections with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), bringing the country's total number of cases up to 1,119.
The ministry said in a press statement that no fatality was reported in the country in the last 24 hours, with the death toll due to the deadly virus standing at 26.
The number of recoveries from the contagious bug also remained at 688, while medical teams conducted a total of 760 virus tests in the last 24 hours.
The Lebanese government had extended public mobilization measures from May 25 to June 7 in a bid to rein in the spread of the virus in the country. (end)
