Authorities said on Wednesday that 112 people who are suspected of drug cases have been arrested in the past month in Afghanistan by the Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) and detective security organizations.

Counter-Narcotics Criminal Justice Task Force of Afghanistan (CJTF) released a statement saying that "The arrested suspects were linked to 92 cases of transportation or keeping of narcotics from various provinces during the Afghan month of Jadi".

Month of Jadi began on the 22nd of December and ended on the 20th of January, the statement said.

The CNPA gave the cases to the Central Narcotics Tribunal or CNT after investigations, which is a special Afghan court for jurisdiction of major drug cases.
