Tokyo: dollar changes hands in lower 108 yen zone


(MENAFN) Japan witnessed its trading session early Wednesday with the U.S. dollar changing hands in the lower 108 yen zone.

The dollar stood at 108.11-12 yen in its quoting as the market started its early dealings, from the 108.06-16 yen in New York and 108.12-13 yen in Tokyo.

Furthermore, the euro quoted 1.1074-1074 dollars and 119.73-77 yen compared with 1.1067-1077 dollars and 119.68-78 yen in New York and 1.1016-1017 dollars and 119.11-15 yen in Tokyo.

This comes amid a global economic slowdown with the United States engaged in a trade war with China and Japan in the midst of a trade conflict with South Korea.
