Kuwait set to host men's Gulf basketball championship in Nov


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait have vowed to put on the best display possible as they prepare to host the Gulf Men's Basketball Championship on November 23.
The week-long tournament will witness the participation of all of sides in the region, Kuwait Basketball Association chief Rasheed Al-Enezi told a press conference on Tuesday.
Kuwait's coaching staff will be led by Tunisian Adel Tlatli, who previously led his country's national men's side to bronze in the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship.
The Tunisian possesses "vast experience and a distinguished career in Tunisian basketball and has had a successful stint in Kuwait, when he led Kazma Sports Club to a league title, years ago," said the KBA chief.
Amid their preparations, the team will hold a two-week training camp in Turkey on November 3, which will include games with a number of local sides. (end)
