Jordan- PM says specialized health centers important for improving medical services


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 17 (Petra) -- Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, Tuesday stressed the importance of specialized health centers, which the government recently launched, in improving the quality of health services and medical care provided to citizens, in order to ease the load on hospitals.
During his visit to the Abu Nusair Comprehensive Health Center, which has been converted into a specialized health center, Razzaz said the government had established 12 specialized health centers in all governorates of the Kingdom in order to provide quality services.
Razzaz told journalists that all specialized centers will provide emergency services 24 hours a day, and will have a general practitioner, a pharmacy and an ambulance, in addition to some specialized clinics such as dental, childhood and maternity, and radiology room; and will be able to offer some surgical operations that do not require general anesthesia.
The government, as part of its priorities for the years 2019-2020, has developed a plan to upgrade the health sector, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II that calls for improving the quality of basic services, he said.
The Ministry of Health has launched 12 specialized health centers in order to improve health services provided to citizens in across the Kingdom, and ease the load on hospitals.
