Kyrgyz government launches National Child Documentation Campaign

Until Dec. 31, 2019 the Government of Kyrgyzstan, is conducting a National Campaign to identify and document children without a birth certificate, in frames of which citizens can receive this document in a simplified manner,Trendreports with reference toKabarwhich cited the press service of the government.

Today, about 1,200 children do not have birth certificates. The purpose of this campaign, carried out by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in conjunction with the UN Children's Fund, is to ensure that there are no 'invisible' children, children without documents.

The relevant state authorities compiled a list of children who do not have a birth certificate. Based on this list, the State Registration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic will prepare and issue a birth certificate.


Employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Ministry of Education and Science, local authorities conduct explanatory work among the population that documents for children can be obtained in a simplified manner.
