(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 1 (KUNA) -- Finance Minister of Kuwait Nayf Al-Hajraf on Monday met the French President's envoy Lawrence Yanovitch to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
A press statement by the Finance Ministry said that during the meeting both sides discussed the latest developments and preparations for Kuwait's participation in the "One Planet" summit, as a co-founder.
The summit will be held in Paris on July 10, aiming to address the effect of climate change on the financial system, added the statement.
The 14th session of the joint Kuwaiti-French Ministerial Committee was held during Yanovitch's visit to Kuwait, which was attended by member of the General Investment Authority Farooq Bastaki and the French Ambassador to Kuwait Marie Masdupuy, along with Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry Nabeel Abdul-Jaleel.
