Iraq receives Iran's FM


(MENAFN) Iraq was announced to have welcomed Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on an official trip to gather with top Iraqi officials.

During the first, the Iranian foreign minister will be addressing bilateral and regional conditions alongside his delegation.

Prime Minister of Iraq Adel Abdul Mahdi engaged in talks with the foreign minister as they "discussed relations between Iraq and Iran, as well as regional and international situations and means to remove the damage of sanctions and dangers of war on the two countries and the region."

A statement confirmed that both sides "stressed the importance of security and stability of the region and how to maintain the nuclear agreement."
