Kuwait- 49 evacuation shelters allocated in various schools in crisis situation


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, May 19: A total of 49 evacuation shelters have been allocated in various schools in the six educational districts, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

Sources confirmed these shelters have been provided with all the necessities such as lights, relief goods and medical kits since the heavy rains crisis. Sources said the engineering affairs departments in the educational districts will coordinate with the Civil Defense General Department to follow up the maintenance works.


Sources disclosed these shelters are distributed as follows: five in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, 11 in Ahmadi, six in Jahra, 10 in the Capital, 11 in Hawally and six in Farwaniya. Sources added these shelters, which are located in residential areas, are ready to receive citizens and expatriates if the need arises.
