Brasília – Brazilian federal revenue reached almost BRL 110 billion (USD 28 billion) in March, as reported this Wednesday (24) by the Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil . Real drop (inflation discounted) was 0.58% compared to March last year. Year-to-date through March, the revenue reached BRL 385.3 billion, up 1.09% in real terms.

According to the Department of Economic Policy (SPE, acronym in Portuguese) of the Ministry of Economy, March revenue was below the median expectation of the financial market (BRL 115 billion [USD 29 billion]). However, the Department pondered that the result in February was higher than predicted by the market analysts.
