Iran denounces Pakistan's deadly terrorist assault

(MENAFN) Iran voiced deep condemnation to a terrorist attack which struck Southwestern Pakistan, causing no less than fourteen people to lose their lives.

"Terrorism is an ominous phenomenon which will not be eradicated unless through all-out cooperation among its victim countries," stressed Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi.

In a statement, the spokesman highlighted Iran's commitment to boost its collaboration with Pakistan in intelligence, security and operational areas in order to level up anti-terrorism efforts.

On Thursday, gunmen opened fire to kill 14 Pakistani Navy officials after pulling them from a number of passenger buses on the Makran coastal highway.
