Zambia passes new policy for decent work


(MENAFN) The Zambian government was announced on Thursday to have passed a new policy to encourage better work within each sector in the country.

A statement explained that the National Employment and Labor Market Policy backs comprehensive economic development by beneficial and decent work.

This policy, according to the statement, offers strategies that allow formalizing informal sectors along with boosting national efficiency.

It added "the policy further provides strategies for enhancing social security system for all Zambians. It is envisaged, therefore, that with the implementation of the policy objectives this will contribute to inclusive growth and poverty reduction in the country."
