(MENAFN- Online PR News) World Water Day Cebration 2019 - Leaving No One Behind
Online PR News 26-March-2019 Sharjah, UAE Skyline University College successfully organized a celebration of UN World Water Day on March 21, 2019 at AL Majaz Park, Event Area, Sharjah. The event was made possible in partnership with Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), Shurooq, Al Majaz, Bee'ah, Zulal, Cool & Cool, and IFFCO.
Skyline has been celebrating World Water Day for eight years now as part of its CRS efforts to raise awareness about the pressing issues concerning the limited access to safe water in some communities around the world.
Activities such as poster design, recycling craft, water rationing exercise/water animation, and skit competitions were organized for all age groups in line with this year's theme "Leaving No One Behind." One of the highlights of the event was when kids pledged to conserve water by making every drop count. Among the schools that actively participated during the event were the Nibras Al Iman School, Star Private School, Delhi Private School, British International School (Campus 1 and Campus 2), and Leaders Private School Sharjah.
SUC Dean Prof. Mohammad In'airat emphasized the importance of this event in teaching the young generation the value of water conservation and environmental sustainability. "The purpose of this event is to increase awareness about the importance of water and teach everyone how we can conserve water, not only for us but for future generations," said Dean In'airat.
Among the special guests who graced the event were Mr. Majid Abu Khatir, General Secretary, Municipal Council of Sharjah; Mr. Sultan Al Hashmi, Director of Communication, Sharjah Municipality; Mr. Ali Ahmed Ali, Director of Zulal, SEWA; Ms. Mariam Ali Al Musharakh, Head of Exhibition and Events Section, Corporate Interaction Department, Sharjah Municipality; and Mr. Ali Hasan Ibrahim of the Conservation Department of SEWA.
The annual celebration of UN World Water Day of SUC is organized by Community Services Committee spearheaded by Dr. Taleb Eli.
