Qatari university provides Kuwaitis with scientific initiatives for Nat'l Days


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, March 2 (KUNA) -- Qatar's Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) announced providing two scientific initiatives to its Kuwaiti students and for 10 others from other universities, in celebration of Kuwait's National Day.
The initiatives, launched in cooperation with Kuwait Embassy in Qatar, include learning of the university's programs and research opportunities, as well as developing leadership skills for the students, the university told KUNA on Saturday.
It added that Qatar is sharing Kuwait's national celebrations through organizing different festivities in the country under the theme "Kuwait-Qatar, one nation." On his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar Hafeedh Al-Ajmi expressed his joy over strengthening cooperation with the university. He added that it has a great academic experience that could benefit the Kuwaiti students.
Meanwhile, HBKU's Vice President Mariam Al-Manae said the university is based on multi-cultural co-existence.
She noted that it is attracting students from the Gulf region and other countries as well due to the diversity in majors HBKU provides.
HBKU is a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF) and was founded in 2010, aiming to unlock human potential. The university is a homegrown research and graduate studies body that acts as a catalyst for positive transformation in Qatar and the region while having a global impact. (end) nnd.ag
