Cricket Club of India removes Imran Khan's portrait: Details here

The Cricket Club of India (CCI) has removed the portrait of former Pakistan captain Imran Khan. This action has been taken by CCI in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.
The Pakistani Prime Minister's portrait was placed in the All rounder restaurant of the club.
Another photograph of Imran along with his national team members has also been removed.

Earlier, CCI President Premal Udani had confirmed Imran's portrait was covered as a mark of protest, but now it has been taken down entirely.
Earlier this week, a convoy of CRPF which had 70 buses was attacked on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. A Scorpio, laced with nearly 350kg of explosives, rammed into a bus.
40 jawans lost their lives and nearly 50 were seriously injured.
Imran had earlier played for Pakistan at the Brabourne Stadium

The sports club houses the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and has photographs of several past and present cricketers from across the globe.
Earlier, Imran had twice played for Pakistan against India at the Brabourne Stadium.
He had captained the side in a festival game here against India in 1987.
Imran also played against Australia in a Nehru Cup game in 1989.

Imran Khan is yet to break his silence on the Pulwama attack and his refusal to condemn the cowardly act saw the CCI make this decision.
Pakistan-based terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
The incident is the deadliest terrorist strike in almost two decades in J&K.
The sporting fraternity, including Indian captain Virat Kohli, has condemned the attack.
