The second Indian container ship has entered the Iranian port of Chabahar, said Behrooz Aghaei, director general of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports referring to Mehr News Agency.

According to Aghaei, the INTER SYDNEY vessel is the second container ship to enter the port of Chabahar after the creation of a direct maritime line between the Iranian and Indian ports.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines has arranged for the ship to sail once every two weeks to the port of Chabahar. Thus, direct export, import and transit of goods from the port of Chabahar have been made possible," he said.

Aghaei said the provincial branch of the Organization has taken steps to accelerate unloading and loading operations.
