(MENAFN) A local official declared that over 5 Afghan army personnel were wounded after a military chopper hit the ground while landing in southern province of Kandahar overnight.

Provincial government spokesman Aziz Ahmad Azizi confirmed: "The incident took place outside Kandahar airport in Daman district shortly after Afghan Air Force helicopter took off from the airport in Daman late Sunday night."
