Afghanistan: 14 Taliban militants die in raid

(MENAFN) Spokesman for provincial government Aref Nuri declared that over nine militants have died as 15 more were nabbed as government forces raided Taliban hideouts in Dehyak district of the eastern Ghazni province on Saturday.

The official added that the raid was carried out in Sulimanzai village where a meeting of Taliban militants was held, leaving 14 militants dead at the scene.

After the attack, the security forces detained 15 suspected militants and handed them to concerned authorities for probes.

Meantime, Taliban unseen spokesman Zabihullah Majahid in connection with media, has confirmed that raids, however, alleged that all of the deaths were civilians, which was denied by Nuri, confirming that all the 14 people killed during the raids were Taliban members.
