Kuala Lampur, Qatar Football Association (QFA) Secretary General Mansoor Al Ansari yesterday presented the candidature of Saud Al Mohannadi, Vice-President of AFC and QFA, for the AFC elections to be held next year.
After submitting the papers, Al Ansari held a meeting with Dato' Windsor John, Secretary General of AFC, and discussed matters of mutual interest to develop the game around Asia.
During the meeting, Al Ansari also discussed issues relating to Qatar's participation at next month's Asian Cup to be held in the UAE.
Matters relating to Qatari delegations - that includes media and fans - heading to the UAE for the January 5-February 1 event were also discussed.
Qatar are in Group E with Lebanon, North Korea and Saudi Arabia.
