32 companies to compete for Thai port project


(MENAFN) Thailand's Laem Chabang port renovation initiative will see 32 companies fighting to win a contract to handle the third phase of its construction and operation

The companies competing for the project were unveiled by the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) on Wednesday to be having among them seventeen local firms and fifteen international firms.

The PAT confirmed the companies to have already set up their bidding applications for the project, which is launched in eastern Thailand.

Under the targeted contract, the winning bid is to be responsible for the construction and operation of two piers for cargo ships: designated F1 and F2.

The bidders will have their documents officially filed on January 14th of next year, while the winner is scheduled to be declared in February.
